Overview

The print room is where our pedigree shows

Production print is unforgiving: colour must match, deadlines do not move and downtime is visible to everyone. We have specified, installed and supported production environments since 1992, hold Canon’s Gold ProPrint accreditation for production print, and stand behind every device with our own engineers, workshop and spares.

Personalisation

Variable data and cross-channel communications

Variable data printing (VDP) personalises every piece within a single run, changing names, offers, text and imagery from your data, so a thousand mailers become a thousand individual documents. The same data can drive cross-channel communications, keeping print, email and digital output consistent.

FAQs

Production print, your questions answered

What is production print?

Production print covers the high-volume, high-quality devices used by in-house print rooms, central reprographics departments (CRDs) and commercial printers, from digital colour presses such as Canon imagePRESS to high-speed mono and inkjet platforms like varioPRINT. It is a different discipline from office printing, with colour accuracy, finishing and uptime at its core.

When does in-house production print make sense?

If your organisation regularly outsources brochures, reports, exam papers, marketing collateral or client documents, bringing production in-house can cut turnaround from days to hours and reduce cost per job. A production print assessment compares your outsourced spend with the cost of running the right device in-house.

Which production devices do you supply?

As a Canon Platinum Partner we supply and support Canon production hardware, including the imagePRESS colour press range and varioPRINT mono and inkjet platforms, matched to your volumes, media and finishing requirements.

How do you keep production devices running?

Production environments cannot wait for parts. We run our own workshop and spares operation, employ Canon-accredited field engineers and monitor devices remotely, so issues are caught early and fixed fast, with agreed SLAs behind everything.

Can you manage colour accuracy and consistency?

Yes. We set up and maintain colour management across your production devices so output stays accurate and consistent between runs, essential for brand work, proofs and colour-critical publishing.

What is variable data printing (VDP)?

Variable data printing personalises each piece within a single print run, changing names, text, offers or imagery from a data file, so a thousand mailers can be a thousand individual documents. The same data can also drive cross-channel communications across print, email and digital. We set up the VDP workflow and provide comprehensive operator training, so your team can run personalised work in-house.
