What is Kaseya used for in our environment?
It provides the plumbing of proactive support: monitoring agents that report device health, automated patching that keeps software current, and secure remote access so our engineers can fix issues without interrupting your team. You rarely see it working, which is rather the point.
Is it safe to give a management platform this much access?
It is, when it is governed properly. Access to our management tooling is restricted, logged and covered by the change and incident processes our ISO 27001 certification audits annually. The alternative, unmanaged devices with no oversight, is far riskier.
