About CyberSmart
CyberSmart is a London company founded in 2017 with a simple idea: certification should not be a once-a-year panic. It has been an IASME-licensed Cyber Essentials certification body since 2020, is FCA-regulated for the insurance bundled with certification, and now protects more than 7,000 businesses.
Compliance every day, not once a year
CyberSmart’s Active Protect agent runs on every device and checks it continuously against Cyber Essentials controls and security best practice: encryption on, updates applied, screen locks set, no known vulnerabilities lingering. When something drifts out of line, we know the same day, not at next year’s assessment.
How we use it
We deploy CyberSmart across client fleets to keep Cyber Essentials compliance real between certifications, to speed clients through assessment, and to give directors and insurers clear evidence of security posture on demand.
The services this powers
CyberSmart, your questions answered
What does CyberSmart actually do on our devices?
A lightweight agent checks each device daily against Cyber Essentials controls and security best practice: encryption, updates, secure configuration and more. Issues appear on a dashboard we monitor, so drift is corrected in days rather than discovered at renewal.
Does this replace the Cyber Essentials assessment?
No, the annual certification still happens, but continuous monitoring means you walk into it already compliant. It turns certification from an annual project into a formality, and gives you evidence of good posture all year round for insurers and clients.
